Greenfinch in the pansies!

Haven't had as many finches this year, we used to get goldfinches, chaffinches, and sparrows eating seed, but the last couple of years it's only been greenfinches. They are lovely birds and I'm glad they are still coming!

This one was in a hanging basket right outside the kitchen window so I couldn't resist taking a quick shot - had to do it through the glass or he'd have been gone. He was getting seed that had fallen from a millet stick hung in the tree that the basket hangs from.
