Journey Through Time

By Sue

It's so hot...

HOW HOT IS IT?

Hotter than a two-dollar pistol...
Hotter than a firecracker...
Hotter than biscuits......
Hotter than the devil's anvil...
Hotter than two cat's fighting in a wool sock..
Hotter than hell....
Hotter than a room with a computer...(barely)

For the first time in three years, temperatures are over 100 degrees. Vancouver, where I live, is 103!! (39.444 for celsius) For us, this is a pretty hot day. My flowers have suffered some. Lots of people are at the rivers and as far as I know, nobody drowned. That's good, because usually somebody drowns when so many people try to cool off in the many rivers, lakes and the ocean. We are just staying home, keeping our small AC going and going outside to water something if we see it suddenly looking desperate. The east wind was blowing and that really dries things up quickly. The humidity is low and that keeps the heat at least more bearable. Tomorrow, a cooler, but still hot day and then normal August temperatures return...thankfully.

Keep cool, dear Blippers. See ya later.
