Bluheron

Companions

We stole away, found a resting place.
There we settled soft upon the sandy beach.
The finest mist so gentle we felt upon our skin.
Our eyes were closed, and when we lifted up, Oh, joy...
So nearby, seagulls bathed.
Come to freshen up in a quiet creek
As she meandered to the sea.
And no one else, it felt, for miles around.
At the fog shrouded edge of the world just
You... and me.
