View from Barton Church.

Due to the forgetfulness of the old man who was prepping the Lodge yesterday we needed to pop out to Yanwath in the afternoon.  The morning having been taken up by dropping the marquee and returning from the Dalston show.

On the way to the lodge we saw fairly heavy traffic due to the Lowther show.  This made us decide to turn towards the lake rather than taking the usual route home.  While discussing where to go for blips we realised that a Sunday in August isn't the day to be searching for lakeside lay-byes.

The result was we stopped at Barton church looking for interesting architecture or what ever we found.  I liked this shot from the churchyard looking directly down the Ullswater valley with the High Street range   the left.on
