... lobster. Not looking too clever but just alive enough to pose for a quick snap before I transplanted it to deeper water, away from trampling feet and gull's beaks. I tried to get it to raise its claws to emulate Fat of the Land but it was having none of it.

A slow start to the day (well, it is still the holidays after all) followed by chucking stones in the sea, the first visit to Nardini's (comprehensive ice-cream comparison to follow), a trip on the ferry to Millport, lunch, up to the cathedral (smallest in Britain dontchaknow), paddling, harassing crustacea, back on the ferry, dinner at the in-laws (thanks!), a game of horse-opoly (an equine themed version of monopoly with all of the tears and tantrums associated with monopoly - and that was just from me) and finally bed.

Extras: three little ducks, cathedral and waiting for godot ice-cream.
