Ooooo, cheque it out…….

…….a surprise (as in 'bolt out of the blue', not mentioned, not requested!) ex gratia payment from the gas board following last weeks front garden path 'gas leak incident' landed on the doormat a few minutes ago……cor blimey, you could have knocked me down with a feather! Also had a fly-by visit from Amanda the Plumber earlier to see whether they'd done a good job……and she'll be back again next Monday to fit the new gas hob (assuming it's delivered on Saturday of course!)
