.......Madge Mallard, who knocked down half the flock in her haste to get there when she heard she had won Gold in the Women's 100m Breaststroke (see Extra).   Well, who can blame her.  The competition has been fierce and she wasn't sure she had trained enough, but it appears she indeed has the right stuff.
