Market Day ... but of course, it's Wednesday!!!

Another stellar market day...even altho it was teeming down with heavy rain all day!   I had to get up and into the studio by 7 am, unload the kiln, clean it all and price it...then pack it all and head down to Baddeck, in the rain!!!!

Exhausting day cos it was once again very very busy...where do they all come from!

I had made these little teacups as an order for a woman who had bought a teapot with similar glazing.   So i put them out on the table, knowing she would be coming by for them....well i tell you, i could have sold 20 of them!!!  typical isn't it!   so i guess i'll make some for the next kiln load!  i was very pleased with the outcome.   Still so many wonderful surprises with this oceanic glaze theme!!!

The extra is a casserole and vase that i was particularly happy with.

Now after a nap, and onto my second g & t, tuesday nights quiche in the oven....all is well here on Big Hill......and it is still raining!!!

the other thing i have to make mention off is the generosity of the vendors at our market.  many times the vendors with food or fresh veggies etc., have some left overs and they pass them out to us.  i was  gifted today:   some beautiful flowers, curried chickpeas, fresh beets, and fresh zucchini....pretty wonderful!!!
