For Carlislians? this post box marks a point where England meets Scotland, or vice versa depending on your particular standpoint ~ the great divide. I was just reflecting on whatever happened to the 'through hail and storm...' attitude of the royal mail, and the demise of the second post, and generally the mail ~ especially since post was removed from the train services. Ah well, at least the art of letter writing has not gone completely ~ even if you do have to blip them...
