Perth bid for city of culture...

Had to laugh at this, Perth's bid for city of culture launched outside the building the council fought to demolish and failed .....seems a bit hypocritical to me....no doubt if their bid fails pulling it down will be back on the agenda again....forgive my cynicism but this sort of thing annoys me immensely! Not the bid but using the very building they described as an eyesore not that many months ago...this ranks alongside stupid money being earmarked for lighting up buildings to attract tourists....repairing all the buildings that are semi derelict and supporting the businesses might do much more than lighting up a few buildings in my opinion....did wonder why there was yet more work on the derelict church at the bottom of the High Street that's been like that for years....
