Wimberley

I agree, it's a nothing picture, but it marks a milestone for me.

I have finally managed to mount my Canon 200-400 mm lens on my Wimberley tripod head.

Those who have tried this will know there are all sorts of problems with incompatibility of equipment.

Thanks to Wex, I now have a lens plate that fits the Arca style mounting on the Wimberley. I've only waited two years to get this far.

Len changed the plates for me, then I followed the instructions for balancing the lens.

And this is one of the photos. I know the bee that's flying off isn't in focus but it's sharp enough.

I love this lens for its clarity. You can't beat good glass.
