Gold on Kawau Bay

A leisurely start to the day saw me decide against a morning jog to the beach. The cloud cover suggested that rain was imminent. I was about to brew some coffee when I noticed the sun, by then well above the horizon, was breaking through the clouds and colouring the water in the bay below the cliffs.

This is my only photo today. Spent most of the morning sweeping the decks and paths. Barrow loads of leaves and twigs; even some branches had to be picked up. Did the NZ Herald puzzles over lunch, before completing the sweeping job late in the afternoon.

It has been restorative being up here again.
