Tucking in

After a very pleasant flight from the Azores yesterday evening, I stayed the night in a hotel near Gatwick - and made the most of quiet roads as I drove home this morning.

I had been worrying a little about my pots but it seems I had no need. I was pouring excess water out of them, not desperately having to rush round with a watering can.

Inevitably, my bird visitors were relieved I was back. These three goldfinches didn't even let me get back inside before they were making the most of the sunflower hearts.

The little chap on the feeder on the left, has not yet developed his red. He's not a different variety - just an adolescent !
