Interlude

On a scorching hot day Amy was out for a hack this afternoon, leaving me a little time to mooch around the lanes near the stables.  I spent most of it lurking in the shade, watching butterflies.  There were blues and also a few of these, I think, Small Coppers, this one perhaps a female.  Small and very active in the sunshine, pictures were taken mostly from afar and hurriedly.

The rest of the day has been about getting packed for a short camping trip to Wales.
