The Scaliger Railing

This is a little gem along an unlikely road and I wonder how many notice it. It's a Victorian copy of a 14th century railing around the tombs of the House of Scaliger in Verona.
The plaque under railing reads: THE SCALIGER RAILING "VERONA" 1380. THIS EXACT COPY WAS MADE AT PORTOBELLO, MIDLOTHIAN, 1890, BY JAMES ROSS, BLACKSMITH, ALONG WITH DAVID GREIG, HIS ASSISTANT, IN THIS WORK.
