Lister

I had always associated Lister with Edinburgh , so I was surprised to see this in Kelvingrove today. In fact he was also Professor of Surgery in Glasgow in the 1860's and the statue, by Paulin, was erected in 1924. It sits below the University at Gilmorehill and close to a much better known one of Kelvin but both were looking fine, if a little bird splattered, in the sun this afternoon.
