It wasn’t such a nice day, so we had a lazy morning, which involved taking our time over a big breakfast. We eventually headed to Killerton House and Gardens at Broadclyst near Exeter.  Just as we got there the heavens opened, so we went into the house for a look around.  While it was interesting, it wasn’t the most fascinating house, apart from the laundry! As the rain had gone off, we explored the beautiful garden where BB and TT played with a giant jenga.  Next stop was the café where BB tucked into a panini and a huge hot chocolate.  TT and I could only look on – as we were still recovering from our big breakfast.

We headed out into the estate for a walk, sheltering in the church from the rain.  We headed to an adventure play area which BB had spied.  He had great fun climbing, but it was  very wet, so he had to be careful.  We continued our walk and after a while the sun came out.  A day of all weathers!

By the time we were heading to the car, the rain had started again.  We headed home and watched the new-ish Dad’s Army movie.

One of the house guides had mentioned this spot with the frame, framing the amazing view –unfortunately she didn’t know where it was.  We just stumbled upon it and it makes a good blip, even with a photo bomber!
