Topless to the top of the Tamar

A glorious hot summer day was too good  to waste so we took the MX 5 across parts of Dartmoor through Tavistock to the Royal Inn at Horse Bridge in the higher reaches of the River Tamar. The attractive building, a former nunnery, dates from 15thC  and has a good reputation for food. The nearby bridge was constructed in 1437, the fact it is still standing is a tribute to its builder. While we were taking a few pics from the bridge a farmer and his 2 dogs were rounding up a flock of sheep in an adjacent field. This is also included in the extra.
