Family Cycle

The last day of our family's holiday to the UK. We went for a cycle along the Greenway from Stratford to Long Marston, where we had a drink and then cycled the return journey back again, so a total of around 10 or 11 miles in all. I was very surprised that Kai managed the whole distance on his bike, and he rode very well indeed. He had risen quite early today to walk Ziggy and Hector one last time with Grandad, and they walked for about one and a half hours.
We ate our picnic near to the railway carriage café which is about halfway, and we also bought coffees there too.
C and I took our own bikes, but D&T and Kai hired some. D had a little chariot on the back of his to tow Beck too. I must say that the quality of the bikes and helmets etc that they hired was excellent.
This photo was taken by the chap who runs the bike hire shop and was taken when we returned. I've included some extras that I took today also. The spots on Kai's face are a very clingy clay mud which formed quite a few puddles that he rode through.
The family will be off about 7:30 am tomorrow on their way to Heathrow. To say that we shall miss them enormously is a vast understatement.
