Taking down a tree

Over the course of this week I have watched the 'dismantling' of one of the trees that I pass on my walk to work each day. I wonder how much of it will be left when I next trot up to campus on Tuesday?

Much of my day was spent sorting out an issue that has arisen over how we conceive twelve month periods when analysing HR data: calendar years, academic years, financial years, tax years... There were also meetings, a viva, lunch with the colleagues in my research centre, a fresh crop of work to review for next week, and a couple of drinks with L after work.

Exercise today: walk to work (12,198 steps).
