Red Sails

Another hot and sunny morning meant a lazy breakfast and mooch about.
Walked down onto the main beach towards town and gosh it was really busy.
We don't usually venture down to the bustling end of the beach very much over Bank Holiday weekends but did so today to see the start of the annual mackerel catching contest.
Lots of boats rush into the bay and try and catch as many fish as they can in a given time, then it's weigh in time and the winners get to keep a massive silver rose bowl for the year.
Would hate to have to clean it and can't imagine where you would put it!
Away from the race these Luggers looked far more picturesque and you know l like a red sail, so that is my blip.
Bought a newspaper, posted some letters that l finally got around to writing last night.
Walked back along the beach then sat and had an ice cream
( Snugburys, a new make as far as I know, really delicious: classic vanilla for me and toffee crumble for Mr P ) it felt hotter than ever.
Came back and watched the Rugby Cup Final and now going to have a pizza and a drink of wine.
Better rustle up some salad to make that a bit more balanced.
Enjoy your Saturday peeps.
