Matilda's Heart...

...has a new gold lining, or at least a new head gasket.

Spent most of today watching my friend change the head gasket, grind or set the valves and then reassemble the top half of Matilda's engine. I don't understand how I ended up dirtier than he did...

Matilda has been leaking for some time now and hasn't had the power she once had. This should cure most of that. 

Didn't have time when finished to give her a run but a standing test didn't reveal any leaking oil or water. Hopefully I'll give her a run out tomorrow down to Lullingstone Castle where there's a Plant Hunter's weekend.
