With mountains like these

I woke very early, with a still bright moon before the dawn and mist hanging in the valleys below. I almost cursed myself for not being able to grab the camera, but then took a few moments to take it all in instead. It's in there.

It had clouded over by the time we had got up and packed the tents away. We called into Acton somethingorother, but they have Mondays off, so we went to see the Roman remains here instead. The boys were in severe need of a bath, so it was disappointing to find we were 1,900 years late for the calderium. The vents are good though.

Mrs Pepperpot had roast lamb and hot water ready however. The boys are clean, fed and have had their first badminton session.
