Festival Site

Backblip - Saturday at Shrewsbury Folk Festival.

A lovely sunny day dawned and I wandered round the site taking a few photos. I don't normally go for jaunty angles but prefered this shot to the conventional ones.

I went to a Sea Shanty workshop with The Roaring Trowmen, a brilliant and very humorous quartet who are well worth seeing. It was timetabled for a room but it filled up  so we went outside to sing on the grass, there must have been around 200 people there! We learned shanties and sang them in four parts. It was great fun!!  Their photo in the extras is them standing on a picnic bench to be seen above the throng.

In the afternoon I was back at the pub in town for another three hour session then back to the site for an evening of wandering in and out of various concerts (there were three concert marquees with lots of acts to choose from).
