Navigating the Tweed near Peebles

I went down to Peebles to pick up the race pack for the Tour O' the Borders. On my tod as my partner had decided to do a craft fair. After a visit to the event village, I walked around the town centre and a bit of window shopping. One of the closes that lead down to the Green had this lovely view of the hills to the south of Peebles (Extra 1).

Then it was back to the green and along the Tweed footpath. At one point I stood for a while watching two kayackers make their way down the river. The main picture is at a point where they seem to take some time to make past this point. I think the river might have been quite shallow here.

After that I carried on for a wee bit longer. At the turnaround point, where I decided it was nearly coffee time, I took this shot of a cottage next to the Tweed.

I had my coffee at the event village, which was a very nice flat white. Then it was time to head home. Early to bed tonight.
