Spokes Ride to Aberdour - The New Bridge

Led the Spokes Ride to Aberdour in Fife. There were lots of cyclists out, and several groups, one of which was also going to Aberdour. My group was quite small, seven of us, but as it was also festival time in Aberdour, I booked ahead for lunch.

The ride out was quite nice if a little cool. the Extra photos were taken on the way out. Quite pleasant. Both Extra were taken from Dalgety Bay. Once we got to Aberdour, once we had locked our bikes and got inside, the rain started.

It wasn't too bad by the time we had finished and had to cycle home. We had water proofs on as it was still raining. Dull and dismal on the ride back to Edinburgh. on the day of the ride, the west path was open. That meant I could get a nice photo of the Queensferry Crossing, the new Forth Bridge. Cruise liners are docked at Rosyth.

A couple more showers on the ride back in to Edinburgh. We took NCN route 1 back to Roseburn and the end of the ride.

My longest ride since May. Just over 60km. My back was a little sore after having to put effort in to cycling up hill. But I did it. Bus in to work tomorrow.
