Thank You For the Days ..

First Fruits

A few years ago we were given a couple of cuttings of a grape vine, called something like Canadian Red Brandt. We also sampled some of the wine made from it. TM was very impressed.

He nursed these into sturdy plants. They took over the greenhouse, and were dug up and put into pots to await the erection of a polytunnel.

The polytunnel is still in the shed, the vines have rooted through the pots and are flourishing in the soil outside the greenhouse, and one has produced a tiny bunch of grapes ( about the size of blueberries).

A man is coming tomorrow to help with the erection of the polytunnel. I wonder if all this effort will ever be rewarded with a vintage Chateau TM?

I'm not holding my breath.
