Green shade

I went for a little photo drive today, further afield than usual. It's been a baking hot day and the sun glared harshly on wilted acres of sunflowers. It was a relief to stumble across a shaded section of the canal; the trees here seem currently safe from the fungal infection causing thousands of them to be felled elsewhere. Handily, a traditional barge, as opposed to one of the ubiquitous white fibreglass boats, was approaching.

The car was registering 35C on the way back; I was glad to get home and chill with a cold drink. A quiet evening in I think ...
