Fallen Star

Despite wandering Preston Hall for a tree blip, which I thought I'd got, on returning home and looking at these Crocosmia, I realised it was the first time the ones on the right of the steps had flowered. When oor Tom passed away last summer, we'd taken a clump from the left and planted it on Tom's resting place; he seems to be helping them flourish!

In the US they are called coppertips or falling stars, which I thought was apt... Tom was a star :-)
