All together

All the days gathered sheep all together and in one field. The image with the landrover and the sheep caught my eye. An early start and at 6am I was busy giving Cal a sheepdog training session with the sheep. Then on up the road to gather for another farmer. He had two different folk gathering today that he goes and gathers for so it will be a day for a day type thing. They had good strong dogs but didnt know the route. The sheep were also a bit naughty trying to turn back and hide in the brackens at every opportunity!! I think in total there were 19 dogs on the gather today with 7 people. We avoided the worst of the rain and enjoyed chatting to some other farmers that we dont see as often. Also in the midst of it all may have found the ideal tup (ram) to buy from one of the other gatherers. Its always good to get the tups locally if we can as they are used to the climate and the ticks.
