Ink Cap Family (I think)

Tai Chi in the morning - an enjoyable session where David concentrated on Tai Chi exercises that can be undertaken while sitting (we have one member who needs this at the moment).
Followed by a dedicated photo session to capture this extensive clump of fungi around the base of a dead Sycamore tree on the edge of Ayton Wood.   This particular fungi desiccates very quickly and the patch that I photographed yesterday is now black and mushy.  There was lots of new growth though and the very youngest shows the Mica dots that has disappeared on the specimens in this photo.  (I've decided that fungi identification is really really complex and only for the very dedicated.)
Some preparation for the camera club in the afternoon- we have a nature competition with a difference coming up this month and we needed a bit of  sharing with members on what is/ isn't acceptable.  (There's lots of rules and lots of people out there finding ways to work within them!)
A good first evening of the new autumn season.  With John showing us photo-stacking and Nick stitching images together to create panoramas.
