Forest

Another day, another meander along the river watching salmon leap and several heron stand by the side. We stopped at a hut with some rowing boats with Earl Haig names as per extra. I did read something about local links to the Earl Haig fund, so off to read again and try to retain the info... We also had another lovely cycle down quiet lanes and of course up a hill or two. Nothing too far or too fast.

A rather disappointing attempt at lunch; there was a recommendation to try a pub in Kelso, but on arrival it had a rather strong smell of stale urine... We didn't stay! So off to a local cafe instead.

Dinner out tonight I think in an excellent local hotel.
