This week Sue and I will be attending a new documentary about unhoused people in Portland, described on Facebook this way:
Sisters Of The Road invites you to celebrate the premiere of our new original documentary short On the Ground! With content direction by Sisters community members and film production by Portland local Trip Jennings of Balance Media, On the Ground unpacks the realities and root causes of houselessness in Portland.
Join us for the very first screening of On the Ground! Refreshments and facilitated discussion will follow the film. Share your ideas, ask questions of the filmmaker, and be a part of a community creating solutions for Portland together. Admission is free and all are welcome!

This evening as we were out for our after-dinner stroll, I became engaged in a conversation with this man. I was holding my camera, but I kept it pointing toward the ground. As we were having our discussion, Sue took this photograph.
