Above And Beyond...

Oswestry Sunset

After Mrs BB had done her 2 mile swim and had her nails 'shellaced', we set off at 5pm to travel to visit one of my best friends with whom I was in school, that retired from Thames Valley police a couple of years ago and now owns a small farm near Oswestry. At the rear of his house is the Offas Dyke footpath which puts him in England. We haven't visited before but the marriage saving sat nav took us to the village and then it was down a lane in which I took the blip picture just before his place. We timed it just right to capture a stunning sunset.

Roy and his fiancee foster a brother  (6) and sister(4) who had gone to bed but on hearing us played up so they could see  what was going on! They're lovely kids that have had a bad experience with their mother. After a chat they went back to bed so we could have a bite to eat and a drink.

We left about 11.30pm to continue our journey to Manchester Airport to get our 5am flight.
