Cooler in the shade

Even the pigeons know how to live in Phoenix. We're still hitting the 100s, though things are expected to cool of as a storm comes in.

I got an email today that the photos I submitted to the state fair were rejected. They didn't make the next round of judging. Now I don't know what to do. Can they still be displayed? I kind of feel worthless. I wonder how I can ever try to sell a photo.
