Kew Gardens

The coach was late so we left Thornbury at 8.45.  Good ride and we stopped at Reading for a loo break and coffee. Arrived at Kew about 11.30 and made our way to the Palm House - it was very hot in there and we made the mistake of going up to the upper level and it was even hotter.  Went down to the Marine level and that was interesting.  Ate our packed lunch on a bench surrounded by bees all busily collecting pollen.  They have a wonderful structure out of wire called the hive.  After a cup of coffee we made our way to the Princes of Wales Conservatory this contained 10 climatic zones and was interesting.

By this time our legs were aching and another cup of tea and then to wait for the coach home.

A good but tiring day
