Bullet Train

No matter how often I ride the Shinkansen it is always a pleasure. Unlike Tokyo business hotels, which are always disappointing.

Today's is no exception. It's just as well I didn't bring a cat as there's absolutely no swinging space. My 'wardrobe' rather innovatively consists of two hooks in the wall on which dangle four plastic hangers and I can actually touch both sides of the room with my hands with only a bit of a stretch.

I do however have two fetching smoke hoods for use in an emergency. And there's a rather fabulous Indian restaurant next door with a great veggie menu.

Compact and bijou is the more acceptable description!
