Peter had had a rough day back at work, the kids had remembered last minute homework (oh how I hate that!) and so the two of us ended a frustrating day with a sunset canal walk whilst Anthony was at rugby practice. I'm so glad we saw this lovely sky.

A lot of my frustration came from the news that my level 2 assessment for the Girlguiding Walking Scheme has been cancelled due to insufficient take up. And yet we have insufficient hillwalking leaders! It's a vicious circle. Last year I cancelled my assessment due to needing my back operation and this year the organisers have cancelled me. It's just not meant to be is it?! Fingers crossed the scouting one goes ahead in a few weeks time.
