Bridge Over The Houston Ship Channel

These photos are of the Baytown-La Porte Bridge which spans the Houston Ship Channel.  Originally there was a tunnel which many of the refinery or petro-chemical workers, who worked in Pasadena would have to go through to get to work or back home.  The tunnel was also used by traffic going from the Baytown area to the highway which went through Pasadena to Houston.  Unfortunately a few years ago, after the bridge had been completed, the historical tunnel was demolished.
