Flower Friday: Red Rose

Just finished watching/listening to Verdi's Requiem being performed on the penultimate night of the Proms on BBC4. Wonderful!

Before that I watered the garden, as we've still been dry over here in East Anglia - though that'll probably come to a very soggy end tomorrow. This is an iPhone shot of the climbing red rose that we planted last year in Dad's memory. It's still doing fine, though this bit needs to be tied onto the trellis now. Another job to add to the list... And to think I wondered how I'd fill the time after retiring!
