I've returned to Tiptree earlier than usual this week, in order to take Mum to the dentist in Colchester for her annual check-up. Happily she's been given a clean bill of health once again - I must say, nobody looks after their teeth more assiduously than Mum because she cleans them after every meal!

Not much else to report, other than that the garden is looking decidedly messy (as it always seems to at this time of year). It's frustrating not being able to wield a broom etc to tidy up a bit, due to my shoulder. At least the gardener's coming on Saturday morning to cut back the unruly shrubs and do a lot of lopping - let's hope the forecast rain doesn't materialise and cause him to cancel.
