Lobelia

The garden looks very strange at the minute.

The trees are turning brown and losing their leaves, the strawberry patch is a mish mash of dark green and golds and the apples are dropping but the bedding plants are still blooming away!

Closer inspection shows many of the petals are withering away but they remain defiantly colourful in the face of the forthcoming fall.

They can still be enjoyed for a wee while longer :-)
