Leonardo's Cat

Although Leonardo da Vinci's cat was not as famous as the physicist Erwin Schrodinger's one, I'm sure he was responsible for aiding the old man while he worked on his amazing inventions, architecture and art work. Today he was just resting by a vaseful of gladioli having had a strenuous night keeping les rats from gnawing the furniture.

it was a hot night but we got a good night’s sleep and looked out to see a lovely day and one that was clearly going to be another hot one. We wandered downstairs for breakfast and decided to eat in the garden, which was really nice. Afterwards we walked up the road to visit Château du Clos Lucé  Leonardo da Vinci’s home for many years. They had some good exhibits of his many inventions, which are displayed in the chateau and there are also many large working models in the grounds.

Afterwards we walked into town, got some cheeses and wine for a supper and had some lunch. We wandered back and found we were locked out. We have a key code for the block we're staying in but didn't take the mumber as we had not expected to need it. Bit of a nuisance as we had various bits that needed to go in the fridge. Nobody about at all except some German folks waiting to check in. Fortunately, there's afridge in the camper so I fired up the gas and put the stuff in there and we went off and sat by the pool until the owners returned. Ho hum!

There are a few more from today and yesterday here.
