Illuminated

It was the warmest September day for a hundred years so I took to the woods. In our dense beech woods it was a bit humid, but quite pleasant. Scanning the dense shade for interesting fungi I suddenly came across this one shaft of sunlight - the only patch of light in that part of the wood. It should have illuminated a rare fungus...but it didn't!
