A fresh pair of eyes

After walking determinedly to the hut two and a half times this morning, I concluded I needed to reset my adamant expectations of a cloud inversion opening up and a brocken spectre waving at me.  There was some taunting blue sky up above but it wasn't to be.

So, despite knowing full well it's not my turn at the reservoir, I was sneaking a couple of photos in (practice shots) when this emerald damselfly questioned what I was doing.

It was with relief that he seemed very amenable to a photo or 20 and now has me quite excited about hunting for more bug life up there.  Although I think I've left it a bit late.  It was chilly on the moors.  I had my gloves on!
