Chelsea at the dock

On Monday, Steven drove the boat and trailer we towed 1500 miles here down to the shore, got our boat Chelsea unhooked from the car and settled into a space at the shared family dock that his father helped restore in the 1960's. Steven's cousin Ken (in the red shirt) is helping him to tie the boat up at the dock. Asia and Chloe are hopeful, waiting for a ride . . . not to worry, girls!! They have been out in the boat on the St Lawrence River at least 3 times since then!

Earlier on Sunday night, we made it to the island on time to celebrate Aunt Lee's 91st birthday with lots of family around her and many songs sung! Aunt Lee is Steven's dad's younger sister and the last remaining of their 5 siblings. Steven's great-grandparents were the original owners of the farm and land we are visiting now on Wolfe island, Ontario, Canada. It is so very beautiful here. I really feel very blessed to be here. More photos to come as I can upload them . . . my internet access is very limited. I first tried to share this last night and was not successful until this morning with Steven's help moving the repeater box for the wireless connection to "the big house" -his great prandparents house.... I hope to share more with you, but know that I am happy and anticipating a visit from my son decklin and his partner Tina on Sunday - for a whole week!
