Ulaan Bator from above

A day spent investigating how best to travel around this country. There are a few places that it's possible to go to by public transport and other places where it's very difficult and you need a guide and driver.

This is the view of a bit of the city from a monument built by the Russians. There's a lot of Ulaan Bator that is quite ugly but the city centre is ok and I actually quite like the city. You get tantalising glimpses of the mountains between the buildings and it was good to go up here and see the view.
