Greater Flamingo(juveniles)

I call this 'The three Flamingos' they are standing together as though there is safety in numbers but the smallest one is in the front. These are Greater Flamingo, these birds can weigh up to 8.8lbs and can have a wingspan of nearly six feet. These are all immature birds as their beaks are not yet pink. Females are much smaller than the males, so the little one at the front may also be a juvenile female. In all there were about 15 birds on the lagoon and some were fully grown with glorious pink plumage, sadly they decided to stay out of the range of 600mm lenses. A really fantastic sight though.
