The Big Apple

After our lovely few days in the Hudson River Valley, we headed into NYC to the madness of midtown traffic. It took us an incredible amount of time to get around and do the things we needed to do.  I dropped off my ailing 70-400 mm lens, had brief stop at B&H (of course!) while my husband visited a cousin, had a quick dinner with #3 son, then coffee and dessert with friends. We also closed out #4 son’s apartment and turned over the keys. Not much time for photography at all.

We will miss this little apartment as it was in such an wonderful location at 55th and 8th Avenue just 3 blocks south of Central Park and Columbus Circle.  Fortunately we still have one son who remains in NYC and is moving into a larger apartment ( which means room for parents to stay there) on Central Park West.

I quickly grabbed this shot outside the Time Warner Center, just in case I didn’t have a blip at the end of this busy day…and it turns out that was a good idea.
