August Challenge - Messy - Work!

Day 9 of Missymoos challenge - Messy: What's a mess? Take a photo of it. Again, be creative. Think outside the box.

The project that I am currently working on can quite easily be described as messy, I just smile, laugh to myself and put in the invoice.

A lot of the preparatory work was done by someone who is retiring shortly and is now down to 2 days a week. To say that he is demob happy is no understatement.

The timescales constantly shift, milestones get missed, somehow a minor little sporting event across town in Stratford was overlooked and it was thought that there would be no problem getting resources needed from suppliers - after all the Olympics isn't on TV is it?

The idea that key people (who are freelance and not on any retainer) might want a family holiday during the school holidays was another surprise.

So all in all it's a bit messy. Pictured is one schematic of about 30 to 40 needed, blurred a little so as not to give away trade secrets, and a few milestones that have gone.

To quote Douglas Adams "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by."

And to quote someone else "Standards are great, the more you have the more chance there is of meeting one of them"
